World Alzheimer's Day
No time to lose
World Alzheimer's Day is organised by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), the organisation that includes all Alzheimer associations around the world.
World Alzheimer's Day, September 21 each year, is a day on which Alzheimer associations concentrate their efforts on raising awareness about the realities of life with dementia. Each year a theme is selected about which ADI prepares and distributes promotional materials to member Alzheimer associations, other organisations and individuals around the world. Getting people to campaign collectively on a unifying theme in their country is the most effective way of bringing dementia to the global attention of governments, opinion leaders, medical professionals, people with dementia and their carers.
ADI aims to help establish and strengthen Alzheimer associations throughout the world, and to raise global awareness about Alzheimer's disease and all other causes of dementia.
