CAUCHI. On September 20, VICTORIA, aged 79, ex-De La Salle Teacher, passed away peacefully at Casa Serena, comforted by the rights of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her nephew Martin Xuereb and his wife Marisa, her dearest beloved great-nephews and niece Aidan and Fleur, Nyal and his wife Claire, and Keely and Clive, her sister-in-law Guza Cauchi and her family, her brother-in-law Charles Xuereb, her other nephews and niece in the UK, her cousins, the De La Salle Community, the Sisters of St Joseph, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Casa Serena tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul's Bay, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at St Paul's Bay cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Eden Foundation will be appreciated. Special thanks go to the staff at Casa Serena for the great love and dedication.

FORMOSA. On September 19, at St Luke's Hospital, PINA, aged 84, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Lewis and Mario, Tony and his wife Dorothy, and Noel and his wife Linda, her daughters Vivienne and her husband Giorgio, and Anna, grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Coast Road Closure

Owing to the Malta National Triathlons Championships being held on October 6 between 3 and 4 p.m. and October 7 between 8 and 11 a.m. along the Coast Road, traffic from Kennedy Grove towards Valletta will be diverted to It-Telgha t'Alla w Ommu.

Traffic from the St Andrews and Bahar ic-Caghaq areas will be diverted to Maghtab.

Access for public transport, coaches and emergency vehicles will not be affected.

Soroptimist Convention

Soroptimist International Malta was represented at the Soroptimist International Quadrennial Convention in Glasgow where delegates came together from all over the world to share their experiences.

The five-day convention ended with a Peace Vigil led by international president Lynn Dunning and Satish Kumar, international peace worker. Delegates were given a peace scroll and were asked to share it with their local communities to promote peace.

Book Fair

All those interested in taking part in this year's book fair can collect an application form from the National Library in Valletta up to October 3, between 9 a.m. and noon.

The 23rd edition of the fair will be held between November 14 and 18 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Spaniels Need Home

Two Springer Spaniels need to be homed. The three-month-old male puppies were observed roaming near a chapel in the outskirts of Mosta on Monday.

Bus Departure Times

As from Monday, bus route numbers 110, 300, 350, 800, 810, 890, 450 and 560 operating to Mater Dei Hospital and the university will depart from outlying termini at 6 and 7.45 a.m. instead of 7 and 8 a.m.

Rabat Band Club Concert

The L'Isle Adam Band Club will be giving a concert on September 30 at St Agatha's auditorium in Rabat at 7.30 p.m. The theme will be A Blend Of Music From Rabat With International Music.

Paola Bazaar

A bazaar in aid of the feast of Christ the King will be held at the parish hall at Vjal il-Knisja, Paola between October 6 and 12 from 9 a.m. to noon and 4.30 to 8 p.m.

Bible Courses

The Malta Bible Society is organising nine new courses on the Bible. The aim of these courses is to help the participants gain a better understanding of the Bible.
