Commemorative 5k race at Bugibba on October 14

To commemorate the hosting of the European Athletics Conference (Oct. 11-14), the MAAA, in conjunction with the Mellieha Athletic Club, will be organising a five-kilometre race at Bugibba on October 14.

The race starts from the main square and runners will proceed along the coast road towards the Dolmen Hotel and past Ta' Fra Ben and the Suncrest Hotel.

They continue running for a further kilometre until reaching a turning point in front of Clove Court, which will take them back along the same route to Bugibba square.

Trophies will be presented to the first three in intermediate, junior and open categories, as well as in each five-year Masters' category brackets.
