Water Services Corporation chairman Michael Falzon yesterday filed his third libel suit this month.

Mr Falzon filed the suit against Labour leader Alfred Sant and Mark Farrugia as the editor of the Labour Party website www.mlp.org.mt over the publication of a statement entitled: Michael Falzon m'ghandux triq ohra ghajr li jirrizenja minn chairman tal-WSC (Michael Falzon has no other choice but to resign from his post as WSC chairman).

On Tuesday, Mr Falzon filed a suit against columnist Joe Sammut and Frans Ghirxi, the editor of the General Workers' Union daily l-orizzont.

Last week, Mr Falzon filed a libel suit against Labour MP Joe Mizzi and Alexander Farrugia as the editor of It-Torca, which is l-orizzont's Sunday sister paper.

He also filed a judicial letter against Dr Sant and the editors of four news media - l-orizzont, The Malta Independent, maltastar.com and One News - over articles containing allegations made in a statement by Dr Sant.

Lawyers William Cuschieri and Adrian Delia signed the writs.
