Vodafone Autumn Regatta at Sliema

Local sailing enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting start to the autumn season.

Between Friday and Sunday, the Sliema seafront will provide the setting for a series of races during the Vodafone Autumn Regatta, organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club (RMYC).

The weekend-long event will see a number of sailing boats competing in various races, to be held between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

"Vodafone believes in the development opportunities available through sport and has been supporting local sport for a long time," said Maria Vella-Galea, on behalf of the sponsors.

"Sailing is popular sport in Malta. Vodafone wants to support this passion by sponsoring the Autumn Regatta."

"With the Rolex Middle Sea Race only a few weeks away, the Vodafone Regatta should serve as an ideal test for the boats and crews participating in the MSR," Georges Bonello Dupuis, Commodore of the RMYC, said.
