Three Labour mayors have confirmed to this newspaper that they boycotted the launch of the government's regeneration plan for Grand Harbour hosted by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Investments Minister Austin Gatt. Four other Labour mayors were absent.

This MLP boycott reflects the pitiful state of the Labour Party. Labour, with its continuous partisan approach, has energised its supporters and officials in such a way that they can't even appreciate projects which are set to revamp and inject new life into their localities. What a pity.
