Obituary

SAID. On September 16, MARIA DOLORES, of Luqa, at her home, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Grace and her husband Andrew, Andre and his wife Elizabeth, Joseph and his wife Lucia, Carmel, Vivienne and her husband Mro Dion Buhagiar, and Myriam, her grandchildren Antoine and his wife Juanita, Sandro and his wife Maria, Sebastian, Naomi, Mercedes, Cristina, Francesca, Alex, Jai-Jai, Dion and his wife Clarette, Mark and Craig, her great-grandchildren Nicole, Kurt, Chloe, Sebastian and Alexander, her brother John and his wife Giovanna, her brother-in-law Paul, their children and families, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavare will be said at the St Andrews parish church, Luqa at 4 p.m. today followed by interment at the Luqa Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated.

SPITERI. On September 14, at Floriana Home, CARMELO (Ir-Re) of Valletta, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sudden loss his beloved wife Lina, née Saliba, his sons Alfred and his wife Rita, Simon and his wife Simone, his daughters Lilian and her husband Raymond Buhagiar, Miriam and her husband Frank Azzopardi, Joyce and her husband Victor Galea, Carmen and her husband Thomas Robinson, his grandchildren Jesmond, Allison, Sherona, Shaun, Simon, Andrea, Emylise, Ryan, Wayne, Neville, and Leanne, his great-grandchildren Matthew and Miguel, his brothers and sisters, cousins and all his friends in Valletta.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
Lord, grant him eternal rest.

TRIGONA, Lt Col Roney, aged 82, husband of the late Madeleine née Debono, passed away peacefully on September 16. A very thoughtful and generous father and grandfather, he leaves to mourn his great loss his daughters Anmari, Jennifer and her husband Charles, Celia and her husband Martin, his grandchildren Ben, Luke, Simon, Julian, George, Stefan, and Veronica, his in-laws Molly Zammit Tabona, Noyla and Jose Calleja, George Debono and Marie Cabourdin, Eddie Critien and Biba Bernard, nephews and nieces, especially Margaret and her husband Albert Borg, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Capua Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Nazzarenu parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery (top gate). No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement would be appreciated. May God grant him eternal rest.

A Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. at St Joseph's parish church, Msida.

Heritage walk

The Zejtun local council is organising a heritage walk in Zejtun next Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon.

The walk will be open to locals and tourists and starts from Pjazza Carlo Diacono.

Triq D'Argens closed to traffic

Triq D'Argens, in Msida, will be closed to traffic from the corner with Triq l-Isqof F.S. Caruana up to the corner with Triq l-Imsida between tomorrow at 7 a.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.

Traffic from Triq D'Argens towards Gzira and Sliema will be diverted to Triq Testaferrata, Triq Enrico Mizzi and Triq D'Argens.

Traffic from Triq D'Argens, in Gzira towards Msida will be diverted to Triq l-Imsida and Triq l-Abate Rigord.
