Floriana's Krsteski nets August award

Floriana defender Darko Krsteski has had the best start to his football career in Malta by securing the first BOV Player of the Month award for the 2007-08 season.

Krsteski's sound displays in the heart of Floriana's defence, together with perfectly-timed passes and accurate free-kicks that his team-mates turned into goals, contributed immensely to Floriana's winning start to the season.

This is the third year in a row that BOV are sponsoring this monthly award. As in previous years, each month a charitable institution chosen by the player will benefit from a donation granted by Bank of Valletta. Krsteski, from Serbia, offered his monetary prize to id-Dar tal-Providenza.

The BOV Player of the Month trophy was presented to Krsteski by Mario Cilia, Manager of Floriana's BOV branch, in the presence of Louis Micallef from the MFA.
