I read the article on The Times (August 11) describing the wonderful ballet show I had the pleasure to attend the Sunday before.
Olivia Dow splendidly showered on the audience the talents of her students. She managed to highlight the strengths of each and every girl, lady and lad who delighted us with their splendid dancing. Most impressive, of course, were the ladies who, in spite of my ignorance of technique in ballet, still managed to confirm, in my eyes at least, the high standards of this school of ballet.
Well done, well done indeed to all participants, parents and relatives who support the dancers all through their lives. May I also thank the helpers and, of course, Ms Dow. I am grateful for all the effort, sacrifice, hard work, time and money put in by all of them for me to experience that memorable evening.
All ladies were fabulous, yet in the article on The Times, the author referred in particular to the ballerina who performed the only solo of the show in a white tutu and who, otherwise, appeared in the yellow tutu. I do agree that this lady has exceptional talent, but, according to the information I have, the name of that ballerina was Sarah Lanzon.
