Tennis coaching is widespread in Malta, be it at the various tennis clubs, schools or hotels.
In an effort to co-ordinate coaching and eventually upgrade the didactic methodology to a higher standard, the Malta Tennis Federation (MTF) is to initiate the process of complying with EU requirements which specify that all sporting coaches are to be registered with their respective governing bodies by 2008.
Moreover, in accordance with the Sports Act, all persons acting as tennis coaches must be registered with the MTF. To this end, the MTF is inviting all tennis coaches, qualified or not, to attend a presentation at the Kennedy Nova Hotel, Gzira on September 24 at 8 p.m.
For more information on the up-coming presentation, one may contact Tony Cilia Pisani, the MTF president, on 7901-2901 or national coach Robert Tarpey on 9945-3306.
