Atalanta coach at Birkirkara nursery

Stefano Bonaccorso, the head coach of the youth sector at Serie A club Atalanta, will be the special guest at today's official opening of the 2007-08 season of the Birkirkara Youth Nursery, being held at Sta Theresa Junior Lyceum (opposite Infetti Grounds).

During this evening's activity, starting at 7.30 p.m., the Birkirkara nursery, this year celebrating its 25th anniversary, will present its coaches for the new season as well as its calendar of events.

This is Bonaccorso's second visit to the nursery. During his three-day stay in Malta, the Atalanta coach will be having talks with nursery officials on future projects and will also meet the young Birkirkara players and their parents.

Tomorrow, Bonaccorso will have a closer look at Birkirkara's U-16 squad during a tournament at the Gozo Stadium where he will also be introduced to the Gozo Youth FA officials. On Sunday, the Atalanta coach will be at the Luxol Ground to watch Birkirkara's U-14 team in their first league match of the season.

Also on Sunday, Bonaccorso will head a training session at the Infetti Grounds and, in the afternoon, he will deliver a talk about football preparation and training in the youth sector.
