People who want to learn about this year's the Lifecycle Challenge, during which 25 cyclists crossed from Bucharest to Berlin last month, can take part in Switch-On, an activity organised by the Qawra-Bugibba Youth Commission and the youth section of the St Paul's Bay council on Thursday from 7.30 p.m.

The activity will kick off with a Rock Mass celebrated by Fr Martin Chetcuti and parish priest Fr Gorg Zammit.

The celebration shall be animated by Footprints. Mass will be followed with a performance by five local bands - Appleseeds, Eastwind, Strummin' Home, Jozi and the Lost Boys and Maddy and the Band. In between performances, the public will be able to learn more about the challenge through video snippets summarising the salient points of the adventure.

Lifecycle members, who raised money for renal patients, will answer queries on the organisation's cause.

Donations to Lifecycle can be made through the Lifecycle accounts at HSBC (Malta) 0611 9879 2050 or Bank of Valletta 1481 4521 017.

One can also donate via SMS on 5061 7356 (Lm1), 5061 8921 (Lm3) or 5061 9218 (Lm5).
