Wied Babu promenade works nearing completion

The Minister for Resources and Infrastructure, Ninu Zammit, visited the works on the promenade leading from Wied Babu to Hagar Qim.

Mr Zammit said that this second phase of the works covers the length of 1,300 metres with the final 300 metres being completed later on, due to the fact that the job will form part of a modified traffic junction leading to Wied Iz-Zurrieq.

A promenade more than two kilometres long is being built.

It will include the embellishment of the existing car park, the construction of a four-metre wide promenade, the construction of a belvedere and the widening of the first part of the road that leads to Hagar Qim.
