It's a shame that these opinions are expressed by a Maltese national. I believe he owes the Maltese public an apology.

Unknowingly, he seems to be arguing against himself, attributing adjectives to others which would much rather suit himself. I see no militancy in the Maltese camp albeit it'd be appropriate considering that it's our language that he's insulting. It is people like Mario Schembri Wismayer who are acting with militant behaviour. In the strictest sense of the term, his letter could be considered as treachery.

This is not simply a question of preferring English over Maltese. This is tasteless hate towards the Maltese language, our one and only national language.
