Over the past years much public money has been spent on making the roads in and around Kirkop decent.

But over the past few days many 'sleeping policemen' have been constructed on the roads in and around Kirkop. In some, as in Lewziet Road, there is a speed hump every 100 metres and in the heart of the village, where one has to drive very slowly in the narrow and winding roads, humps have been placed 50 metres apart.

This is causing motorists to stop at every one, drive on lower gears and emit more carbon dioxide in the air. Once our island is over-polluted why should we continue to intoxicate the air because of a stupid decision? Does the mayor think that Kirkop residents cannot read simple traffic signs?

Is it possible that we are the only people in the world who cannot have a decent road because they are either full of potholes or riddled with humps?
