MITTS Ltd recently celebrated the ninth edition of its Awards for Excellence. The Awards for Excellence have been developed to recognise the achievements of individuals and teams who have gone well beyond the call of duty and have shown dedication and commitment to their clients, company and colleagues.
The event kicked off with welcome speeches from the chairman, David Spiteri Gingell, and CEO Alex Attard. Both highlighted the importance of this event in rewarding some of those teams and individuals who have contributed to making MITTS the strong ICT company it is today, and thanked them for their hard work and commitment.
The awards presented were: Knowledge at the Heart of MITTS - An award for Knowledge Sharing - awarded to Veronica Burd, software developer; Supporting the Transformation - An award for Excellence and Values Commitment - awarded to James Grech, Performance and Business Monitoring Unit manager; and On the Edge - Two Awards for outstanding team achievement, one coming from a delivery arm, and the other from a support aspect - awarded to the E-mail Migration Core and Canteen teams.
The chairman's award was this year given to Michael Micallef, a MITTS employee seconded to the Foundation for Information Technology Accessibility (FITA). A loyalty award was also given out to those individuals who celebrated their 10-year anniversary with MITTS Ltd, and those who have retired this year.
All awards are based on the MITTS Ltd corporate values of people, client focus, continuous improvement, empowerment and professionalism.
