Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Group, which has been ISO 9001:2000 certified for the past nine years, has extended the scope of the certification to incorporate food safety.

The group is the first in its sector to have been awarded certification by Moody International in ISO 9001:2000 plus HACCP. This certification covers both the group's quality management system and the HACCP system.

HACCP is an international principle defining the requirements for effective control of food safety.

A HACCP system helps organisations to focus on the hazards that affect food safety and hygiene, and systematically identifies them by setting up control limits at critical points during the food chain.

Maintaining these standards will ensure that all the products handled by the Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Group reach their clients in an optimal condition to guarantee food safety and customer satisfaction.
