A Mondial tour to Linz, in Austria, and a year's membership of the Scrabble Club are the prizes being offered in connection with the new word game series starting today.

The prize consists of a three-day tour trip to Linz, from October 26 to October 28, visiting Linz, Passau, Steyr and Vienna or Cesky Krumlov.

The group will depart from Malta at 9.15 a.m., arriving at 11.30 a.m., where a coach will pick the group up and drive it to a 4-star hotel in Linz. There will be a half-day excursion to the Bavarian town of Passau. In the evening, the group can join the tour leader for a stroll through Linz, which is built on both banks of the river Danube. The group walks to Hauptplatz, the old cathedral and then to the Landhaus - the headquarters of the provincial government.

On the following day, the group will go on an optional excursion to the Czech Republic to visit Cesky Krumlov. On this tour, the group will see the charming South Bohemian countryside, full of little villages and ponds before arriving to the destination. Later, the travellers will visit the Old Town and stop near Freistadt, in Austria, to visit some shopping outlets.

If one decides to go to Vienna instead, the morning will be free for some shopping followed by a tour of several important buildings such as the Belvedere Castle, the UNO City, Parliament, the Opera House, Hundertwasserhouse and St Stephen Cathedral in the city centre. There will also be a short stop at the Prater Luna Park to see the Giant Ferries Wheel.

On the last day, there will be an optional excursion to the city of Steyr. The group will walk through the Old Town and see the Stadtplatz, the Leopoldi fountain, the town hall and St Mary's church at Eisengasse.

The prize is for one passenger sharing a twin room. All taxes, fuel surcharge, single room supplement, all meals and personal expenses are extra.

The six nine-letter words for the series that ended last Saturday were nutriment, dismantle, galvanize, turpitude, vexatious and grandiose.
