Marc Almond, ex singer of Soft Cell will be performing here during ReflexMania, a massive 1980s music event organised by Reflex Promotions and being held at the Eden Arena, St Julians tomorrow.
DJ and Radio Presenter Alex Grech announced this event during the recent Reflex 80s party at Gianpula. "It's fantastic to have one of the best 80's singers at one of our parties and everyone is looking forward to Marc Almond's live performance. He is a great artist and 1980s icon after all", Alex Grech said.
Marc Almond will sing most of his hits during the Soft Cell days such as the No. 1 hit single Tainted Love which was one of the most selling singles in the19 80s. Other Soft Cell hits would be Bedsitter (UK No 4), Torch (UK No 2) and What (UK No 3).
His set will also include his single Something Gotta Hold Of My Heart which shot to the UK No 1 spot in 1989 as a duet with Gene Pitney. Marc Almond shall also perform hits from his solo career and tracks from his new album Stardom Road, released this summer. Reflexmania will consist of a six-hour show of 1980s music, lights and sound as the Eden Arena will be turned into the largest dancefloor on the island. Marc Almond's live performance will be followed by DJ Alex Grech who will churn all the 1980s classic hits till the early hours of Sunday.
His set list will definitely include music from New Romantic and Electronic 1980s groups which were around during Soft Cell times such as Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Ultravox and more.
These will blend perfectly with other tunes from Wham, Madonna, A-HA and more which will be played by the Reflex DJ Gang.
Malta's very own 1980s group X-Tend shall also perform on the night. Doors open at 10 p.m.
