DEBONO. On September 4, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMEN of St Paul's Bay, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Fondly loved and deeply mourned by her children Silvio and his wife Tanya, Paul and his wife Kelly, Cornelia and her husband Stephen Cremona, her grandchildren Beppe and his girlfriend Rebecca, Karl, Stephanie, Talya and Lukas, her sisters Josephine Cremona, Mary McBride and her brother Michael Camilleri and his wife Miriam, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 7.45 a.m. for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul's Bay, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment.

PISANI. On September 5, Dr Joseph L. at Casa Arkati, Mosta aged 86, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved wife Yvonne née Mifsud, his sons Louis and his wife Clementine, Albert and his wife Anne, Sandro and his wife Margot, his beloved grandchildren Robert, Michael, Marie Claire, Jonathan, Yvonne, Francesca and Christina, his brother and sisters, in-laws, relatives, friends and colleagues.

Chiropractic Check-Ups

Tanweer Rayasat, a registered chiropractor in Malta, will hold free spinal check-ups and educational sessions in his clinic at the Chiropractic Care Centre, 125 B, Flat 4, St George's Road, St Julians, tomorrow from 10 a.m.

During these interactive sessions, the chiropractor will stand behind every child to look for discrepancies at the ear, shoulder and hip levels. He will then draw a red line marking the spine to check if there is any curvature. The children will also be checked for flat feet since this condition affects the spine.

Choral Concert

The Collegium Musicum Choir together with the Girne Music Education Centre's Children's Choir of North Cyprus will be presenting a concert at the Mdina Cathedral on Saturday at 7.30 p.m.

The two choirs will be singing Gabriel Faurè's Requiem (1893 version) and other pieces. Entrance to the concert is free.

Talk On Radio Astronomy

The Astronomical Society of Malta will host a talk by Kristian Zarb Adami entitled A Century Of Radio Astronomy - The Past, The Present And The Future.

The talk, which is free of charge, will be held at the German-Maltese Circle in Valletta, today at 7 p.m.

Dr Zarb Adami holds a PhD in data analysis from the Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory at the Cavendish Laboratory.

He coordinated a research and development team at ST Microelectronics which was responsible for the design of a three-megapixel auto-focus camera for mobile phones. During this time he lectured at the University of Malta.

He joined the University of Oxford in May.

The international movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII will hold an evening of prayer at the basement chapel of Sarria church, Floriana on September 19 from 6 to 7 p.m.
