Flights to Italy may be hit by strike

Air Malta flights KM 628/9 and KM 616/7 will be affected if Italian air traffic controllers strike today, the airline said yesterday.

In the eventuality of industrial action, KM 628 will depart Malta at 7.25 a.m. arriving in Milan at 9.25 p.m. while KM 629 will depart Milan at 10.25 a.m. arriving in Malta at 12.25 p.m. The airline's flight to Rome, KM 616/7, will be cancelled.

Passengers originally scheduled to travel on KM 616 (Malta-Rome) will travel on KM 614 (Malta-Rome) departing from Malta International Airport at 4.40 p.m. Passengers that were originally scheduled to travel on KM 617 (Rome-Malta) will fly on KM 615 (Rome-Malta) departing Rome at 7 p.m. and arriving in Malta through Reggio Calabria at 9.45 p.m. All flights will operate according to the normal schedule if strike action is withdrawn, the airline said.
