VASSALLO - MARIA, September 5, 1999. To a dear mother on the eighth anniversary of her entering a better place.
It's not easy, trying to understand
Why the world can be so cold
Stealing our loved ones away
But we have got to believe
That they are in a better place
Where they wait
Where every tear dries away
Darkness is gone
The weak are strong
In this place where we shall all be some day.
Love you, mum. Lina, Joe, Nathalie, Marthese, Marianne and spouses.

VASSALLO. To our dear nanna MARIA.
Dear nanna
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two twinkling eyes closed to rest
God did this to prove to us
He only takes the best.

I picture you in heaven
No more worries, no more pain
You're where you always wanted to be
With your sweetheart once again.

I live my life to the full
As content as can be
For I know when my time comes
You're saving a space for me.
Thinking of you always, your grandchildren Claire, Joanna, Kevin, Louise, Jackie, Laura, Joseph, Hannah, Tara, Francesca and Ben and great-grandchildren Xikira, Yannick and Alessia.
