'Building on our Success'

'Building on our Success' will be the title for the next Technical Sport Seminar which will take place on September 29 at the Excelsior Grand Hotel.

Technical Sport Seminars are regularly organised by the Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) following Malta's representation at international games under the auspices of the MOC. The purpose of such seminars is an opportunity to evaluate the outcome of athletes' performances and to understand and plan for the future of Maltese sport.

This year's seminar, appropriately titled following the recent GSSE in Monaco, will evaluate the achievements and shortcomings at these Games. In addition, Pippo Psaila, MOC Director of Sport, will focus on the technical programme for the MOC for years 2008-2012, highlighting strategic objectives and operational plan for this period.

International events falling under the auspices of the MOC include the Cyprus 2009 GSSE and Liechtenstein 2011 GSSE, the 2008 Olympic Games and London 2012, the Mediterranean Games (Pescara) 2009, the Commonwealth Games (Delhi) 2010, EYOF Games 2009 in Finland and the first ever Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

Guest speakers will include Adele Muscat, sports psychologist, Dr Olga Fedotkina and Chris Farrugia.

Affiliated federations have up to next Saturday to book their place.
