Useless coupons

I would like to expand on the Mickey Mouse complaints of Malta.

I am a foreigner living in Malta for six years now. I recently purchased a VIP pass to the Empire cinemas in Bugibba costing Lm3. I have now gone four times and not once have I been able to redeem any of the coupons I purchased. I bought the coupons from a company called Mystic Marketing.

I went to the movies and was supposed to receive a free ticket with one purchased and, guess what, I was told the free ticket offer is no longer available as the owners have changed. Okay, I thought maybe there was a mix up but, lo and behold, I was told by the manager that this happens all the time. I was willing to give them Lm1 extra to be able to use my credit but I was told it was not possible.

I am sorry but this is a sorry excuse for customer service and it rules in Malta.

This is not the first time. I am watching.

The manager was very helpful as was the cashier but the policy remained. I can't believe people actually accept these things.

The bar gave me a free popcorn saying these things happen all the time. They were great but I was still ripped off. Mickey Mouse at least had the decency to let people know when they were being ripped off!

Good luck Bugibba cinemas. I will definitely never go there again.
