HSBC Group's chief executive officer Michael Geoghegan visits Malta tomorrow to meet some 600 HSBC Malta employees at the Hilton Malta as part of his 'Global Roadshow' - a worldwide visit to HSBC's 20 most successful banks within 21 days in 27 cities across the five continents.

The meeting will consist of presentations by Mr Geoghegan and HSBC Malta's CEO Shaun Wallis, followed by a questions and answer session.

"The obvious questions are: How are we doing? Where are we winning? Where are we losing? Where are we going?" said Mr Geoghegan, "and we all have a responsibility to answer, and I expect to hear directly from employees on this."

"I will also be giving an honest appraisal of how far we've come in 'joining up the company' since last year, as this is what investors and customers want to hear about. What truly motivates me is the direct feedback, the audience participation, and the chance for thousands of us to come together and share our ideas and commitment to making this organisation 'The Best Place to Work and to Bank'. It's something that I hold dear to my heart," he said.

"Being part of this global tour gives us in Malta a sense of pride - being really 'joined up' with the rest of the HSBC Group helps us, our customers and our shareholders," Mr Wallis said.

This is the second time HSBC's global CEO has visited Malta as part of his trip to HSBC's most successful countries, which also includes Brazil, Mexico, the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Turkey, the UAE, India, Hong Kong and China.
