This past year has been exciting, breathtaking as well as challenging for the pupils and staff at St Joseph Mater Boni Consilii School, Paola.

Our three-year-long Comenius project 'Team working, Solidarity, Tolerance and Fair Play through Physical Activities' reached its the climax with a 'Fun Games Day' organised by the Comenius team for all the school's pupils and staff, also marking the end of the 'Be Healthy - Get Active Campaign' launched last September.

The final project partners' meeting took place in Celles, Belgium, last April at which Bernardette Theuma and I as project co-ordinator were present, together with participants from the partner schools in Belgium, Wales, Ireland and Italy.

At the project meeting, which took the form of a workshop, the participants presented and evaluated the work carried out throughout the project, after which they presented a poster giving an overview of the activities held in their respective schools.

During the three-day visit the participants from the various countries also discussed their diverse educational systems and attended numerous activities prepared by the pupils and staff of the various Belgian schools.
