David Bentley, who pulled out of England's U-21 squad for the European Championship in June was named by coach Steve McClaren in the 26-man squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia yesterday.
Aston Villa striker Ashley Young, who played an influential role for the U-21 side in those finals in the Netherlands was also included in the squad.
David Beckham was left out after suffering a knee injury playing for LA Galaxy this week with West Ham United midfielder Kieron Dyer also absent after breaking a leg in a League Cup match on Tuesday.
