Obituary

CORDINA. On August 28, Dr MICHAEL CORDINA of Sliema, residing in Fgura, aged 56, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Robert, Lara Suzanne and her husband Adrian Farrugia, his mother Maria Dolores, his brother and sisters, Peter and his wife Matilde, Martes and her husband John Xuereb, and Anna and her husband Raymond Grech, his brothers and sister-in-law, Joseph Camilleri and his wife Tania, Paul and his wife Elizabeth, and Carmen and her husband Wilfred Georg, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.

Motor Sport Meeting

The Malta Motorsport Federation will hold a discussion meeting for motor and motorcycle sport clubs at the Qawra Palace Hotel, Qawra, on September 6 at 8 p.m. The discussion will centre on the present motorsport situation in Malta. Members of the council will be on hand to answer questions and to explain the advantages of membership of the federation.

Hairdressers' Seminar

A Creative colouring seminar by Cortex Limited was held at the Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St Julians. The half-day seminar was given by Z.one technical director Abla Barka to introduce hairdressers to the Creative colouring range using conditioning direct colours and the new Simply Zen calming range for a sensitive scalp.

Technical information on the new total roots bleaching system was given to over 70 hairdressers who attended.

Buffet Dance

The Malta DanceSport Association will hold a buffet dance at the San Antonio Hotel in Bugibba on September 8 from 7 p.m. The menu will include bruscetta, grilled beef, fish or chicken, a variety of salads, sweets, wine and coffee. The price is Lm5.50 including parking.

New Sub-Post Offices In Gozo

Maltapost will be opening sub-post offices as from Monday at the San Lawrenz local council, 22A, Triq id-Duluri, San Lawrenz and at the Hotel Serena Beach Club, Triq il-Punici, Xlendi. Metal hand date stamps, inscribed with the words San Lawrenz SPO and Xlendi SPO, will be used at these sub-post offices.
