Student rates and rights

The entry fee for the Splash and Fun Water Park is Lm4.50 for students who present their student ID as opposed to the regular Lm7 fee, according to the park's official website and the park's official price list found on their premises.

Imagine my shock when two others and I presented our student IDs only to be told, with the usual ticket-booth nonchalance, that the rate applies only to foreign students! How appropriate!

It seems that foreign students who, optimistically speaking, inject a couple of hundred liri, at most, into the economy, during their stay, have more rights than students who will provide their country with a lifetime of contributions and are in the meantime striving to become the workforce of the future.
