HP Supported LifeCycle for the second consecutive year in its noble mission to aid patients suffering from end-stage renal disease.

This year, HP (www.hp.com/mt) donated several products to ease the administrative work of LifeCycle Organisation and to ease organ-transplant co-ordination. These products included an HP Photosmart R837 digital camera and an HP Photosmart A612 Compact Photo Printer, with photo packs with print cartridges, an HP Officejet Pro L7580 all-in-one fax/printer/scanner and an HP Compaq 6710s Notebook PC to be used to aid organ-transplant co-ordination.

HP also donated an iPAQ 6915 Handheld PDA with GPS/maps to aid LifeCycle Organisation during this year's challenge. The HP products were supplied through the authorised HP distributors and service partners in Malta, Fortune Technologies Ltd and Systec Ltd.

The challenge, which ended last Tuesday, began in Romania, from where the team cycled through the Ukraine, Poland to end up in Germany, covering a total distance of 2,345km and crossing the Carpathian and Tatra mountains.

LifeCycle Organisation is a voluntary non-profit organisation, and works closely with the Transplant Support Group, the Renal Unit at St Luke's Hospital and the Department of Health to support patients and their families and raise awareness about the renal disease and organ donation.
