The Alfred Mizzi Foundation has donated three Dell computers to the Paulo Frere Institute in Zejtun.

The computers would not only help in the computer awareness courses for children and adults, but would also be a useful tool for motivating participants of the literacy courses. The Paulo Freire Institute was set up by the Maltese Jesuits in 2001 to promote literacy in Maltese and English. The institute also provides courses for women together with facilities for unemployed people. It attempts to promote community development among those who attend the courses and aims at empowering people and promote their self-confidence and talents.
