Sliema U-19 beat Sirens last weekend to clinch the ASA U-19 championship and complete a hat-trick of titles for the club's junior sides.

This is the second time in three years that Sliema's junior teams have achieved this feat after the one of 2005 when the Blues won the U-19, U-17 and U-15s championships.

In a brief statement, Sliema ASC said the success of their youngsters was a result of their dedication in training throughout the winter months which had begun with a training camp in Slovakia at the end of the 2006 season.

The U-14s are coached by Keith Grima Scott and the U-17 and U-19 sides are under the guidance of the experienced Peter Decesare.
