Obituary
ATTARD. On August 23, at his home, RONNIE, (ex-Director of Finance, University of Malta), aged 63, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Carmen, his sons Ronald and his wife Daniela, Robert and his wife Romina, his grandchildren Roberta, Renée Marie and Nicholas, his brothers Joe, Frank, John, Godwin, Anthony and Alfred and their respective wives, his sisters Sr M. Antonietta Attard of the Sisters of Charity, Elizabeth, Carmelina and Maria and their respective husbands, his in-laws Anthony, Miriam and Connie Micallef and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves his home today at 1.45 p.m. for Our Lady of Fatima parish church, Guardamangia. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, and the Jesuit Refugee Service, Birkirkara, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the Jesuit Fathers for the wonderful spiritual care they offered him.
PACE. On August 23, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, JOSEPH, aged 84, widower of Rose Marie. Deeply mourned by his children Emilia and her husband Joseph De Martino and Anthony and his wife Arlette and his grandchildren Thomas, Oliver, Lara and Maria, his brother Frankie and his wife Antoinette and their children Bernardette and Fiona, his in-laws Therese and her husband Benedict Attard, Mario and his wife Julia, Tonina, widow of Carmelo, his late wife's brother, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St Cajetan parish church, Hamrun, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.
Lord grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On August 21, Joseph of Mosta, residing at Galveston, USA, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Sydonia, his daughter Pat, his cousin Angelè, wife of Emanuel Spiteri, other relatives and friends in Malta and USA.
The funeral takes place today at Galveston. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Monday (August 27) at Mosta parish church at 8.30 a.m.
Lord grant him eternal rest.
ZAMMIT. On August 23, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, CHRISTINE, née Petroni, aged 48, passed away peacefully after a short illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Mark, her only son John-Luke and his girlfriend Emma, her parents Alfred and Molly Petroni, her brothers Noel and his wife Kauther, Simon and his wife Elvira, her sister Caroline and her husband Jonathan Bianco, her beloved auntie Josephine Mallia, her respected friend Paul, her close friend Marielle, her nephews Bobby, Daniel, Luke, Michael, Adam, Issac and Matthew, her nieces Francesca, Angelica, Martina and Petra, her mother-in-law Mary Zammit, in-laws, cousins, relatives and her many friends. - R.I.P.

Bridge Closed
Access through the tunnels and over the Manwel Dimech Bridge will not be permitted due to casting works between tonight at 8 p.m. and tomorrow at 5 p.m.
Traffic from the Kappara junction heading towards St Julians will be diverted to Naxxar Road, San Gwann. The traffic lights at the Naxxar Road junction will be switched to flashing amber for the duration of the works.
Traffic from St Andrews towards Valletta will be diverted from the Paceville traffic lights junction to St Andrews Road, St George's Road and onto Spinola.
Barbecue
A barbecue will be held by the National Association for Parents of Persons with Disability on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. at the Park of Friendship in Marsascala.
A children's menu will be available.
Tickets cost Lm4.50 for adults and Lm3 for children. Transport can be arranged for Lm1.50 per person.

Boat Party
The Moviment Zghazagh Partit Nazzjonalista will throw a boat party on board the Ewropa II tomorrow featuring DJs Pierre Cordina and Alex Grech.
The MV Europa II will set sail towards Comino at 8 p.m. from the Sliema Ferries.
