Chelsea have just claimed another record to add to the ones they chalked up since becoming a force in the English Premiership with the arrival of Russian mogul Roman Abramovich and coach Jose Mourinho.

Following their 3-2 victory at home over Birmingham earlier this month, Chelsea have stretched their staggering run of undefeated home matches to 64.

In the Premiership, Stamford Bridge has indeed become a fortress and the Londoners will keep covering every blade of grass at home to keep their fans happy with more positive results.

The Chelsea and Liverpool records have both spanned over four seasons.

Liverpool fell at Anfield to Leicester City who held the upperhand against the Reds 2-1 on January 31, 1981.

A statistical look at both records show the two achievements are almost identical even if Liverpool just edge it as follows:

Wins: Liverpool 49, Chelsea 48.
Draws: Liverpool 14, Chelsea 15.
Clean sheets: Liverpool 41, Chelsea 41.
