Air Malta workers in solidarity action

Air Malta workers are being roped into the industrial dispute surrounding the company Airest, amid claims that the company was "humiliating" its workers.

The General Workers' Union said it was intensifying its industrial action after the management persisted in ignoring the gradings of workers transferred from Airport Services (ex-Air Supplies).

In solidarity with the Airest employees, Air Malta finance department workers will start following a go-slow directive in work connected with Airest's bills.

Workers pertaining to the ground operations section have also been instructed to follow a go-slow directive. The action will affect this morning's flight from Rome via Reggio.
