Clive Farrugia underlined his current good form in Skeet competition when yesterday he lifted the Feliciotto Trophy after winning the Malta Shooting Federation competition at the ranges in Bidnija.

The young and talented Farrugia is leaving his mark each time he figures in Skeet shooting and seems unfazed when coming up against more experienced shooters in such competitions.

Yesterday, he targeted 45 clays in the qualifying round before smashing 24 from 25 in the barrage to finish first with a tally of 69 from a possible 75.

At present, Farrugia is preparing for the international Junior Championships which will be staged in Venice, Italy. He will be shooting in Skeet along with Darren Vella.

Ryan Bugeja, Kurt Cardona, Justin Attard, Darren Xuereb and Matthew Zammit will take part in Trap. The junior selection will be assisted by coach George Micallef.
