Like many others I succumbed to buying something that was being sold on TV. When this arrived, it was not what I had thought it was and decided to take it back, after all I said to myself, they do say that you have a 15-day cooling-off period.
When I called to say I wanted to return the items, lo and behold they said I had to pay Lm3 (for items bought for less than Lm20) and then get my money back. What happened to the 15-day period? Nothing was ever mentioned about payment if items are returned! When I visited the "shop", which was nothing more than a dirty white door with no signs, they did not even have the courtesy to open the door. They spoke to me through the intercom and when I objected, I was sent away with a flea in my ear after the "owner" told me he did not want my custom anyway.
Beware TV shoppers - nothing is what it seems!
