Manchester City have been handed a tricky away tie against Bristol City in the second round of the League Cup. Bristol City qualified after beating Brentford 3-0 in the first round on Tuesday.
Shortly after his appointment at Eastlands, manager Sven-Goran Eriksson suggested he might be setting his sights on the League Cup with a view to ending City's long wait for a major trophy.
Leeds will take on Portsmouth, while Nottingham Forest and Leicester will get the chance to re-ignite their long-standing rivalry. Bristol Rovers will take on West Ham, while Aston Villa travel to Wrexham and Newcastle host Barnsley.
League Cup holders Chelsea are among the top Premiership clubs not yet included in the draw because of their involvement in Europe.
