Barracudas, Birzebbuga and Valletta United, three clubs that have not figured in the national league these past few years, will be looking to revive their fortunes over the next three weeks when they compete in a triangular tournament over two rounds.

Matches, under the auspices of the ASA, will be played at St Paul's Bay and the Marsamxett pitch in Valletta.

All three clubs are in the process of assembling new squads with the return of ex-players and the introduction of new faces. They intend to make a comeback in ASA competitions, possibly next year.

The first match will be played on Sunday when Barracudas host Birzebbuga. The southerners play Valletta in the last match on September 5.
