IOC president Jacques Rogge will discuss preparations for the 2014 Sochi Winter Games with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to Moscow next month, Russia's Olympic chief said.
"We have discussed the dates with Jacques Rogge during our meeting in Beijing and decided that he should come to Moscow on Sept. 26 and will meet Vladimir Putin the following day," Leonid Tyagachyov was quoted as saying by the All Sport news agency.
Putin was credited with helping to bring the Winter Games to Russia for the first time.
The Black Sea resort beat out favourites South Korea's Pyeong-chang and Austria's Salzburg for the right to host the Winter Olympics at last month's IOC session in Guatemala.
Tyagachyov said Rogge was planning to visit Moscow again in December to attend the annual Russian Olympic Ball.
