Michael Schumacher will join his former Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa in Brazil to compete at this year's International Challenge of Go-Kart Championships.
The annual event, which sees top international drivers compete against each other, will take place at the Ingeles Kart Track, in Florianopolis, on November 24-25.
"During the European Grand Prix, in Nurburgring, he told me I could count on him," Massa said.
"It will be such a pleasure to receive him in Brazil, especially for the race.
"We like each other, and his presence represents the importance, seriousness and professionalism of the event.
"The stakes will be even higher on the drivers' side, but that is the idea. Since its birth, the International Challenge of Go-Kart Championships' objective has been to bring the best drivers."
The event will be the first time Massa and Schumacher have raced together since last year's Brazilian Grand Prix, which marked Schumacher's last Formula One race as a driver.
Other Formula One drivers who are expected to attend the karting championships include Ferrari tester Luca Badoer, Honda's Rubens Barrichello, Renault tester Nelson Piquet Jr and Toro Rosso's Vitantonio Liuzzi.
