As an Englishwoman married to a Maltese citizen, I have visited the Maltese islands many times over the past 25 years.
As family, we have always found fascinating places to visit, enjoying discovering parts of Malta, some off the beaten track to many tourists.
During our family visit in Easter, we were especially impressed with the Limestone Heritage Museum in Siggiewi, the Roman Domus outside Mdina (visited originally 24 years previously) and the Valletta Waterfront development.
A special mention should also be made of St Paul Shipwrecked church in Valletta. A hidden gem we re-visit again and again.
While some of the building development sites are less than pretty and detract from the overall impression of the island, Malta presents a treasury of wonderful experiences for the tourist and whenever possible I encourage friends and colleagues to visit to see for themselves.
