I must be missing something. After all the hoopla regarding the "projected eyesores" at Ramla l-Hamra, how about tackling the following existing eyesores which have been around for years and years?
1. The Ghajn Tuffieha hotel that has been falling apart for the last 25 years and which spoils the whole ambiance of a supposedly protected area.
2. The ghastly illegal so-called boat houses in Gnejna and other beaches.
3. The illegal stone shacks along major roads and specifically on the Coast Road just past Bahar ic-Caghaq.
4. The slummy wooden shacks area just past Ghadira.
5. The sun shades made of farmers' shading fabric on numerous roofs, verandahs and patios in all states of disrepair.
6. The refuse dumps all over the islands on tertiary roads.
7. The numerous unfinished buildings that have been around for decades, may of which are full of trash.
8. The haphazard street parking of cars and even junk cars that have been in the same spot for months if not years.
I could go on and on but I do not want to be accused of being negative!
