Two French students in Malta to study English were conditionally discharged yesterday after admitting to a series of petty thefts from fellow students at St Martin's College.

The two, both 17 years old, admitted to stealing a number of items from the college, including mobiles and MP3 players from other students.

Inspector Romina Veneziani prosecuted.
