The sixth edition of the Delicata Classic Wine Festival opened at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta yesterday.

Wines from Malta grown grapes such as Chardonnay, Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Girgentina and Gellewza can be enjoyed at the festival.

Various food areas are offering a range of international dishes while the Grand Harbour Restaurant is set up in the lower gardens.

Live music will be on each night of the festival.

Kastilja, a locally-grown 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, is bottled especially for the festival and will be on sale.
