My partner and I went to the Msida subway to see the graffiti which foreign artists Blu, Ericailcane and Lorenzo Fonda, promoted by Kinemastik, painted on the walls.

We appreciate this art form because it talks to the larger public and is accessible to all, both in its interpretation and since there is no fee to pay to view it.

It is a sub-culture and needs more promotion and resources.

Our favourite was the satirical graffiti of Noah's Ark with Noah making a run for it on an inflatable dinghy while leaving the animals behind on the ark.

We were disappointed to see leftover cans of paint, roller brushes and a paint tray in the subway and just outside the subway lane entrance leading to the university.

Dear artists, we appreciate your efforts to help embellish the site of the Msida subway with your art, but please take your materials with you when you leave and dispose of them appropriately. We hope to see more of your graffiti art and less of your leftovers.
