A new purpose-built HSBC Business Banking Centre was opened yesterday in Qormi.

The centre brings the bank's full range of commercial services under one roof.

"The centralisation of all our commercial banking customer facing and support services into one professional and customer friendly office will enable us respond far quicker to our customer needs," said James Dunbar-Cousin, head of commercial banking.

"This new centre is good news for operators in the Maltese economy," said Minister for Investment, Industry and Information Technology, Austin Gatt. Business Banking's new headquarters is spread over 1,800 square metres of open plan office space for over 130 staff.

The new building, located alongside HSBC's Operations Centre, comes with facilities for conferences, nine interview rooms, facilities to host business lunches and a car park at entrance level for easy access.

HSBC's team of experts and relationship managers will give personalised and specialised services to customers, which include a range of financial products for small enterprises, medium-sized and large companies and multinationals, quick decision-making and connections to HSBC branches worldwide.
