The Ladies Running Club (LRC) will be holding the 17th annual six-mile road race on September 14 at Ta' Qali.

For the third year running, a four-mile walk will be held simultaneously over much of the same route. Both the race and the walk start and finish in front of the Mdina Glass factory, the main sponsors of the event. The route will be the same as last year with some minor changes due to construction works at Ta' Qali.

For the past few years, the Ladies Running Club have been raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and this year the race will continue to support this cause.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first finishers in both the men's and women's races. In addition, a special prize will be given to the first LRC member in the race in honour of Lina Borg Constanzi, a founder member and inspiration to the club.
