Sliema power outage
On behalf of the Sliema local council, I would like to clarify that no application was ever submitted from Enemalta to the Sliema local council regarding the five-hour long power outage in Sliema (Enemalta Explains Sliema Power Outage, July 26).
Although the outage affected the Sliema area, the works concerned occurred in another local council and hence the permit in question was requested byEnemalta officials from the locality concerned which was not Sliema.
The Sliema local council was erroneously given bad publicity in this issue.
