Nobody was injured when a motor yacht ran aground at Cominotto reef on Saturday night and started taking in water.

The 65 persons on board the Gozo-based English Rose had to be rescued by two army vessels and safely disembarked at Cirkewwa.

The English Rose, which operates frequent pleasure trips to the Blue Lagoon, was towed to the Mgarr harbour yesterday morning.
